A Rocky Mount police officer and a cadet in training were charged this week in connection with a 2007 car break-in in which guns were stolen, the Pitt County Sheriff's Office reported.
David Ryan Christman and Marvin Joshua Cobb, both 25 and of Rocky Mount, were charged with breaking and entering of a vehicle, larceny and possession of a stolen firearm.
Christman is a Rocky Mount police officer; Cobb is a student in basic law enforcement training, Pitt sheriff's officials said. The men were free on $10,000 unsecured and $25,000 secured bonds, respectively, on Friday.
