GRIFTON — A female driver suspected of driving under the influence reportedly ran her vehicle into a guardrail, flipping it into a creek.

The accident occurred in the early hours Saturday morning at Wiley Gaskins Road, Grifton Police Officer M.J. Eubanks said Sunday.

“There was a single-car accident, and Highway Patrol took over the investigation,” he said.
