Crime: Four home break-ins reported

Break-ins were reported at four homes during the weekend, according to reports from the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office.

  • Someone forced open the rear door at a home in the 1600 block of Steven Street near Greenville between 1:30 p.m. Friday and 12:18 a.m. Saturday. Electronics valued at $570 were taken. Damage to the door was estimated at $50.
  • A home in the 500 block of Monument Road near Greenville was hit at 1:32 a.m. Friday. A television valued at $350 was stolen.
  • A home in the 4700 block of N.C. 222 near Fountain was targeted between 4:30 p.m. Jan. 23 and 4:38 p.m. Sunday. Nothing was reported stolen.
  • Copper and steel pipes valued at $590 were taken from a home in the 5500 block of Oakley Road near Stokes between 8 a.m. Jan. 1 and 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
