A thief used a brick to smash through the window of a Greenville business on Monday night, causing $1,500 in damage.

According to a report issued Wednesday by the Greenville Police Department, an unknown suspect smashed a window to gain entry into the Cade Insurance Co. at 1610 Dickinson Ave. at 7 p.m.

Once inside, the suspect took several parts valued at $120 from a coin-operated candy machine, the report said.
