A traffic stop by a state trooper on Friday night led to the arrest of an Aurora man on a felony heroin offense and driving while impaired charge, according to Greenville police.
Aristafarse Rontey Aldridge, 36, of 2354 N.C. 33 East was stopped by the N.C. Highway Patrol with the assistance of the Greenville Police Department, according to Sgt. Joe Friday.
The trooper charged Aldridge with driving while intoxicated, and police charged him with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin; maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $501,000 secured bond.
