ECU police arrested a mail services employee on Friday in connection to the theft of more than 300 pieces of mail, officials said.
Iris Harper, 49, 2701 Thackery Road, was an employee at University Mail Services on Founders Drive and was arrested at the police department at the Blount House on 10th Street.
Harper was charged with embezzlement of state property by a public employee after she confessed to the crime, according to Lt. Chris Sutton with the department.
