An East Carolina University student who died after he was struck by two vehicles had consumed alcohol prior to the wrecks, according to officials.
The N.C. Medical Examiner confirmed that Robert Steven Perez, 20, of Centreville, Va., had consumed alcohol before crashing his vehicle at 5:20 a.m. on March 2.
Tests showed Perez’s blood alcohol content was 0.07, and a sample from his eye showed 0.10, according to the N.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
