A driver who failed to stop in time rear-ended another vehicle and caused a three-vehicle wreck that sent two people to the hospital on Aug. 29, the Greenville Police Department reported.

Karen Roberson Johnson of Washington, N.C., was driving a 2002 Pontiac 35 mph west on Greenville Boulevard. She was near the intersection with Evans Street at 4:41 p.m. when she slowed down to 15 mph and rear-ended a stopped 2010 Ford driven by Melany Margaret Morningstar of Greenville.

The impact of the wreck caused Morningstar’s vehicle to rear-end a stopped 1993 Honda driven by John Fitzgerald Passmore, a crash report said.
