Joshua Rouse, a student at South Central High School, has been selected for the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship program for the 2013-14 school year.
He was one of 50 students from the southeastern United States and Puerto Rico to be selected for the program.
As a CBYX scholar, Joshua will spend the school year in Germany, living with a host family and taking classes at a local high school. He will participate in a three-week language and cultural immersion camp to gain understanding of German culture, language and everyday life.
He will have a chance to visit the German Bundestag (Germany’s parliament) to meet with American and German government officials and will explore the country through tours of nearby cities and historical sites.
