East Carolina University has announced winners of its annual Youth Arts Festival poster contest. Posters designed by the four first-place winners are on today’s Expressions page.

Winners in the kindergarten through second-grade category are: Chicod School kindergartner Aryanna England, first place; Pactolus School first-grader Amani Moore, second place; W.H. Robinson Elementary School second-grader Rylee Petrole, third place. Ridgewood Elementary School second-grade Carmen Nemeth, Chicod kindergartner Gunner Basile and Bethel School second-grader Ramsey Warren received honorable mention.

Winners in grades three-five were: Ayden Elementary School fourth-grader Daphne Meyer, first place; Chicod fourth-grader Jenna Grabowskie, second place; Wintergreen Intermediate School fourth-grader Macie Yao, third place. Ayden fifth-grader Brianna Jones, Chicod fourth-grader Kylie Dunbar and Belvoir Elementary School fifth-grader Roy Bernal received honorable mention.
