ECU stages final production of summer season

The ECU/Loessin Summer Theatre will open its third and final production of its summer season at 8 p.m. today with "The All Night Strut!" at the Turnage Theater in Washington, N.C. This is a music and dance production.

"There is no text, no story line," said Jeff Woodruff, managing director of the School of Theatre and Dance at East Carolina University.

"The All Night Strut" features songs from Hoagy Charmicheal, Duke Ellington and Johnny Mercer in this celebration of songs from the 1930s and 1940s.

The production includes a cast of 10, but it was originally written for just four people.
