Ayden-Grifton FCCLA installs student officers

Ayden-Grifton High School's Family Career and Community Leaders of America recently held their officer installation ceremony for the 2009-10 school year. FCCLA has 51 members.

First-period officers include President Samantha Tripp, Vice President T-Boriea Whitehurst and Hospitality Leader Justice Shannon. Second-period officers include President Jessica Dennis, Vice President Jhoi Ebron and Hospitality Leader Kim Hooker. Third-period officers include President Whitney Stocks, Vice President Shakena Strong and Hospitality Leader Taylor Cabaniss.

FCCLA members have been working in the Charger Quick Stop to pay their membership dues and help with travel expenses for field trips. Students sell drinks and snacks to teachers and students after school.

FCCLA is open to students who have taken or are currently taking any family and consumer sciences class. The adviser is Melva Lawrence.
