Farmville Central High School's Marching Jaguars have participated in several competitions this fall.
The band won first place overall in Class 1-A at the Greene Central Band Day on Oct. 24. The Marching Jaguars also won first place in their class in several categories, including general effect, marching, drum major, percussion and color guard. The band took second place in the music category.
This follows second and third place overall Class A finishes in White Oak competition in Jacksonville and in the J.H. Rose High School Band Classic, respectively.
Grayson Woodcock is the band director.
The ancillary instructors include Brandie Molina, color guard; and David Burnetsky and Ben Russell, hornline.
