One hundred students at J. H. Rose High School have earned Advanced Placement Scholar Awards in recognition of their achievement on AP exams.
The College Board's AP Placement Program gives students a chance to take college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college credit for successful performance on AP exams.
Nine students qualified for the National AP Scholar Award by earning an average grade of 4 or higher on a five-point scale on all AP exams taken. They are: Michael Gay, Vivian Lee, Timothy Longest, Shampa Panda, Paula Peroutka, Ruth Reed, Elizabeth Stephenson, Jacob Subash and Alyssa Torres.
Thirty-two students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. These students are William Bennett, Katelyn Chiang, Anna Dietrich, Stanley Easters, Catherine Edwards, Joseph Edwards, Alexandra Elbeery, Daniel Ertis, Edwad Farley, Drake Ferruzzi, Zachary Frere, Rachel Geib, Terra Graziani, Emily Hickner, Matthew Houser, Matthew James, Michael Lau, Jin-Yong Lee, Elizabeth MacDonald, Benjamin Matthews, Emily Mayo, Thomas Oseroff, Thomas Pofahl, Caroline Prokopowicz, Ruby Reed, Mark Rosenstein, Ashlyn Still, Katherine Tugwell, Daniel Warren, Mary-Alice Warren, Thomas Williams and Kelsey Zary.
Fourteen students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. These students are Victoria Bowen, Courtney Cannon, Turner Haigwood, Jasmine Johnson, Omar Kashef, Benjamin Keiper, Taylor Kirkland, Christopher Matthews, Paul McIntosh, Quan Nguyen, Emily Ocker, Catherine Smith, Patrick Waivers and Annelise White.
Forty five students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP exams with grades of 3 or higher.
