Day camp
Pitt County 4-H and the Cooperative Extension Service will have a day camp for 7-12-year-olds from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Pitt County Agricultural Center, 403 Government Circle.
Public schools will closed for the Veterans Day holiday. Camp cost is $5, including lunch, snacks and supplies. Registration deadline is Friday. Call 902-1710.
Family Fare
East Carolina University's Family Fare series will present “All Aboard South America: Mighty Mysteries, Wonder and Mayhem!” at 7 p.m. Nov. 13. The play is an original musical written by professor Patricia Clark and performed by ECU Storybook Theatre. In the play, Professor Pontificator and friends travel to South America in search of great stories, including the Legend of the Dragonfly, the Lost City of the Incas, El Dorado, the Three Shovels and the Magical Lake. Christmas play
Smiles and Frowns Playhouse will present “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at 7 p.m. Nov. 20 and 2 p.m. Nov. 21 at the Community Center, 4354 Lee Street, Ayden. Teen Zone
Pitt County Community Schools and Recreation is sponsoring Teen Zone from 6-9 p.m. the first and third Fridays of the month through Dec. 11 at the Zone, 4801 Reedy Branch Road, Winterville. The program is open to grades six-nine. Entry fee is $5, and no re-entry is allowed. Call 902-1975.

Emerge
Pitt County Arts Council at Emerge, 404 S. Evans St., will sponsor the following programs for youth:
Kids' Art Night Out, ages 4-13, 5:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday. Activities will include painting and potter's wheel. Participants will have pizza, do art activities and watch a movie. Cost is $25 for members and $45 for others, with a discount for siblings.
Kids' Dinner and a Workshop, ages 4-13, 6-8 p.m. Nov. 13. Participants will make ceramic holiday cookie jars and have a pizza dinner. Cost is $15 for members and $35 for others, with a discount for siblings.

Estuarium
The North Carolina Estuarium, 223 E. Water St., Washington, N.C., will sponsor the following programs in October.
“Mammals of the Pamlico- Making tracks,” 11 a.m.-noon Nov. 11. Children will learn about different mammals of the Pamlico area. Program is suitable for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.
“Sounds of the Sound: Listening to Fish on the Pamlico,” 1-2 p.m. Nov. 11.
