Boys & Girls Clubs name Youth of the Year and Sportsmanship winners

 The Boys & Girls Clubs of Pitt County have named their Youth of the Year and Sportsmanship winners. Winners, named at the annual dinner , were selected by each of the five club units. Criteria for selection include having a positive attitude, being confident and acting as a role model for other youth.

    A team from Ayden-Grifton High School took top honors Saturday in the Sheppard Memorial Library Public Library Quiz Bowl.

    Ayden-Grifton defeated J.H. Rose High School 120 to 50 in the championship game. Teams from D.H. Conley and North Pitt High School also took part.
