TAKE OFF 4 HEALTH

WHO: overweight boys and girls ages 12-18

WHAT: Campers will learn strategies to lose weight, build self-esteem and lead a healthy life.

WHERE: Eastern 4-H Center, 100 N. Clover Way, Columbia

WHEN: July 27-Aug. 15

COST: $2,250 for the three-week session

4-H CAMP

WHO: ages 8-14

WHAT: Weeklong program includes arts and crafts, horseback riding, rock wall climbing, swimming and canoeing.

WHEN: Aug. 2-7

COST: $300

REGISTRATION: Limited spaces available for Pitt County campers. Deadline is July 1. A $100 nonrefundable deposit is required.

NORTHEAST DISTRICT

4-H SCIENCE CAMP

WHO: rising fifth through eighth-graders

WHAT: Participants will choose between a track that teaches about space and traveling to space, and a track where they solve a murder mystery and learn about biotechnology.

WHERE: N.C. Wesleyan College, Rocky Mount

WHEN: June 14-16

COST: $90
