Chris Koegel of Chocowinity sent in this photo of a male myrtle warbler, a subspecies of yellow-rumped warbler. It is one of the more common warblers in North America and one of the very few that winter this far north. This bird was just getting his breeding plumage and preparing to move to Canada. He was on Koegel's back porch waiting for his turn at the grape jelly feeder, which is shared with the orioles.
