"I recycle birthday cards."

"I cut the picture off the front and I cut out the words inside. I take colored construction paper and fold it in half. Then I take glue and I glue the picture to the front of the card, and I glue the words inside. Then I can send the card again. At meetings of the Winterville Senior Citizens, I show them how to recycle cards. There are about 50 senior citizens in the club, and if you give everyone a birthday card, that's 50 cards. Senior citizens live on a fixed income, and that's a lot of money to spend on cards. If you recycle them, you can give the same card more than once. People know I like to recycle the cards, so they bring me their old birthday cards instead of throwing them away."
