Health Tip: If You Have Dry Mouth (HealthDay News) -- Certain medications and medical conditions can lead to dry mouth, a result of too little saliva flow. Here's a list of problems that are associated with the condition, courtesy of the American Dental Association:
Because saliva washes away food and neutralizes the acids produced by plaque, dry mouth can damage teeth. Dentists can usually recommend ways to restore moisture, such as sugar-free gum and oral rinses.
