Embrace fall with rich autumn hair color

When your wardrobe changes, so should your hair …

As cold weather comes bustling in, the days of the California blonde start coming to an end. Now is the time for rich chocolate brunettes and deep crimson reds with hints of copper and gold. The best way to achieve these fall and winter fashion hues is with safe, in-salon coloring. The blondes may rule the summer, but now is the time for you beautiful brunettes to shine.

Already a bronze beauty? Your transition should be an easy one. Staying within two shades of your natural tone is the best way to enhance your natural color. Pick a shade in the copper or red-brown family to add a little autumn flair to your hair. Not ready to commit to an all over hue? Highlights or lowlights may be your answer. Add flecks of gold and hints of coppers and reds to spice up the dull, cold days to come.

If you’re just looking for a slight change of hue, a demi-permanent would be a great option. Most demi-permanents wash out in about 28 shampoos and there is no obvious line between your new growth and your color. Demis also usually are conditioning and, when they fade, they stay “true to tone” so there is no brassiness or dulling. Redken offers a full line of rich color and super conditioning demi-permanents with its Shades EQ line.

And we couldn’t leave our blonde bombshells out in the cold this winter. Blonde hair tends to become “white washed” over the summer months. The demi-permanents are a good way to re-tone your blonde and add some autumn-friendly gold hues to your hair. Want to be a little more daring? A nice lowlight can really break up your blonde and add dimension and shine.

Along with the changing season comes changing hair pH. Brittleness from the cool dry air can leave your hair thirsting for moisture. An emollient and protein rich in-salon deep conditioning treatment will do the trick. Redken’s line of Shot Treatments offers a full range of specifically tailored conditioners applied in the salon to replenish and restore the essential oils your hair is thirsting for. Shot Treatments will also help your color to last longer and look richer.

So whether you’re a bronze goddess, a blonde bombshell or a ravishing redhead, call and make an appointment with your stylist today and get ready to make a bold fashion statement with your hair!
