Reflections offers skin treatments

Reflections Skin Spa has opened at 3483 Evans St., Suite B, in Bedford Commons, offering nonsurgical and noninvasive skin improvements for people of all ages.

Owners are Leslie Vinson and Tammy Daughtry, both Licensed Medical Estheticians who have undergone extensive training.

Reflections is a treatment-oriented facility that gives patrons the relaxing feeling of being pampered at a spa.

Specialties include customized facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, LED light therapy, waxing and makeup application. They also feature micro current therapy treatments, known as the "lunch time face lift." Reflections uses only glotherapeutics in their treatments and glominerals makeup, which are pharmaceutical-grade products.

Walk-ins are welcome and appointments can be made by calling (252) 561-SKIN (7546).

ECU grads offer speech therapy

Allyson Hill of Greenville and Leigh Mears Christian of Smithfield have opened Access Speech Therapy, Inc., a private practice specializing in the evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders in the pediatric population throughout eastern North Carolina.

Access Speech?Therapy, Inc. provides early intervention speech and language therapy to children as they interact in their natural environment — in homes, childcare facilities and community centers.

Leigh and Allyson both graduated from East Carolina University in 2003 with master's degrees in speech-language pathology. Through vast experiences in evaluating and treating individuals with speech and language disorders,?they have developed a passion?for working with the pediatric population, watching them progress and succeed.

Dazz-l Decor makes interiors dazzling

Jessica Wilkins has opened Dazz-L Decor, a design center that specializes in all areas of custom design. It's located at 2025 A Eastgate Drive, off 10th Street past Hastings Ford.

"Every project is from the ground up, from custom window treatments, bedding, furniture, blinds, shutters, accessories, staging for home sales, event planning," Jessica said.

She said that she and her staff of three designers " "offer something different for the Greenville market because we are a custom-design center that caters to every market, commercial and residential, and have something to offer every budget."

Jessica, a native of Greenville, is the mother of two: Evan, 5, and Livi Jo, 2.

"My mother, Sharon Martin, started me as a designer at a young age," Jessica said. "She grounded me a lot, so I redecorated my room all the time!

"I became very passionate about it when I helped her decorate for a wedding. She put together all the floral arrangements and I decorated. My mother continues to do custom florals for me."

Chiropractor opens two offices

Greenville native Dr. Courtney Whitehurst has opened Active Health Chiropractic, Inc. at 103 Bernard Court in Chocowinity.

Hours are 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, 2-6 p.m. Tuesdays, and 8 a.m.-noon Thursdays and Fridays. Call (252) 975-6878 for appointments.

She also has opened a satellite chiropractic office at 310 Pearl St. in Aurora. Hours are 8 a.m.-noon Tuesdays and 2-6 p.m. Thursdays.

Courtney graduated from Greenville's Trinity Christian School and received a bachelor's degree from Campbell University and a doctorate of chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida.

Jewelry boutique opens at Jefferson’s

Caroline Cockman has opened her "own little Parisian jewelry box" — the Elizabeth Richards Collection — inside Jefferson's in Uptown Greenville.

The name for the collection combines Caroline's first name, Elizabeth, with her father's first name, Richard.

The shop offers jewelry from Dev Valencia; Kathryn Graham Signature Collection; Cassis, designed by Elizabeth Sakhakyan; and Thistle & Bee sterling silver. A few items for men are available, such as cuff links, crystal and silver decanters and carving sets. The price range for jewelry and gifts is $50-$25,000.
