Kim Avery has opened The Venue, featuring furniture and accessories hand-painted by local artists, at 3103 S. Memorial Drive beside Parker’s Barbecue.

The Venue specializes in creations by local artists including Avery, Hibler, Blake Honeycutt, Sandy Vincent and Cathi Davis. Most items are gently used antiques that are repurposed with soft color. Patrons may also bring in their own pieces and commission artists to paint them.
