Meet Her... magazine’s intern, Ashley Adams!

A Virginia native and senior at East Carolina University, the Communications major hopes to pursue her love of journalism. “The vision I have for my future includes being editor-in-chief of my own magazine one day,” she says.

“This past summer, I lived in New York City and worked as an intern for NBCUniversal’s E! News. I was able to taste a small bite of the city life for three months, while learning more than I could have imagined through hands-on red-carpet experience. It was a remarkable opportunity, where work was a blast and the long and crazy hours were more than worth it.” During her internship, she had close encounters with lots of stars, including Jennifer Aniston, Ryan Seachrest, Julianne Hough, designer Betsey Johnson, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Cameron Diaz, Heidi Klum and Khloe Kardashian.

A night owl, she could eat sushi every day, loves to draw and has got to get up and dance when she hears the song “What’s My Name” by Rihanna and Drake. Her guilty pleasures are Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino and movie theater popcorn.

“My 21st birthday outfit. I wore a cream flowy blouse from Arden B. with cut-out sleeves, black satin sailor shorts from Express and my favorite Jessica Simpson black heels. I also had on my absolute favorite feather earrings from Bebe, and wore the ‘Finally 21’ red birthday sash that all my best friends have worn … I was totally comfortable, while completely expressing my favorite style!”
