If you wrote your life story, what title would it have?

It's harder to come up with a title for your memoirs than you might think. Try it!

I thought for weeks and weeks and finally came up with a title for my autobiography: "Confessions of a Carolina Girl Who Fancies Herself a Writer." I don't know what I am going to confess — it just sounds intriguing, doesn't it?

Members of the Her... magazine readers' panel shared the name they'd give to their autobiographies.

"Confessions of a Carolina Girl Who Fancies Herself a Writer."

— Jane Hudson, 48, Greenville

— I would name my autobiography "Complicated" because, as a woman, that would probably be the best word to describe me.

Hope Tharrington, 23, Greenville

"Simple Blessings."

I don't crave major blessings, I am perfectly content to see all the little ones that make life awesome ... happiness, love, good friendships, a wonderful marriage, an incredible son, being a part of two large families. The simple, every day blessings truly are there any time I want to see them!

— Elaine Hughes, 46, Greenville

The title of my memoir would most definitely be "Are We There Yet?" Like many 22-year-old college graduates, I have absolutely NO idea where my life is going. ... It's scary and exciting at the same time. Will I be able to find a career that I enjoy? Will I meet and marry Mr. Right? Will I EVER own a pair of Manolo Blahniks? I'm at the age where the world is mine for the taking, but WHAT exactly am I taking? I have SO many unanswered questions that can only be answered with patience and time. Still, I can't help but whine like a child in the back seat, "Are we there YET?"

— Page Farmer, 22, Greenville

"The Sweet Life of a Candy Girl"

— Lynn Caverly, 52, Greenville

“Let’s Dance”

— Connie Corey, 53, Greenville

My life story title would be “Perseverance: The Story of the Girl Who Never Gave Up on Her Dreams.”

— Keisha Brown, 33, Greenville

My life story would be entitled “La La Land” since my family’s nickname for me is La La and I stay in La La Land a majority of the time.

— Lauren Harrell, 21, Pinetops

“I’m only 4 foot 11, and I’m still going to Heaven”

— Christina Ruotolo, 31, Greenville

I would entitle my life story “the new beginning”

— Acey Chahid, 19, Greenville

“Blessed with a Purpose”

— Felicia Vines, 33, Greenville

"High Hopes"

— Jennifer Corbitt, 33, Winterville

My life story would have to be written in installments. The first book would be called "Ode to a Minister's Daughter," the next, "Where Am I and How Did This Tattoo Get On My Ankle?," and the latest would be, "Reaching the Dream ... and Some."

— Katy Krieder, 31, Greenville

"Change: Finding and Fighting"

— Lydia Hutchings Bardin, 24, Greenville

My autobiography, would be titled "The Enigmatic, Uncompromising Oxymoron"

— Christie Hill, 38 Greenville

If I wrote my memoir, it would be all the funny stories I have to tell about my family growing up. I wouldn't write something unless it was entertaining enough to engage people to read it. The title would be, "Comical Confessions about my Kin." I have actually started taking notes about past events and saving files for a possible book one day.

— Paula Elks, 40, Greenville

Interesting question ... and after thinking about it, I think I would like my memoir book to be titled: "WHO CARES?... (I do!)"

In it, I would like to feature the fact that I do truly care about other people. I have always tried to make an all out effort to befriend someone who needs cheering up, or helping someone out who needs it. When I say "I'm sorry", that may be all I say, but I mean it!

— Jeri Jackson, 64, Greenville

I like Christina's title best. I'd buy that book because it sounds interesting and fun.
