RALEIGH, N.C. — The Carolina Hurricanes recalled forward Patrick Dwyer from their American Hockey League affiliate Monday, a night after winger Patrick Eaves was injured.
Dwyer is being recalled on an emergency basis after Eaves sustained an upper-body injury in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Nashville Predators. It's the second time this season the 25-year-old Dwyer was recalled. He made his NHL debut against Toronto on Nov. 2.
Dwyer had three goals and two assists in 11 games with Albany of the AHL this year.
