Woman assaulted

Greenville Police officers responded to a report that a 50-year-old woman was assaulted by her boyfriend at her home on Front Gate Drive on Friday. The man reportedly kicked open the front door of the home then kicked the woman several times in the body, resulting in minor injuries.

Officers arrested Shawn Devon Green, 35 of 3116 Bells Fork Road and charged him with assault with intent to inflict serious injury. Green was held without bond at the Pitt County Detention Center.

Man assaulted

Officers investigated a report that a 19-year-old man was punched several times by an unknown person at a business in the 700 block of South Memorial Drive on Thursday, causing minor injuries.

Burglary arrest

Officers responded to a report that someone broke through the glass windows of a home in the 600 block of West Fourth Street on Friday and entered the home of a 53-year-old woman and two men, ages 18 and 21 who also live there. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The officers arrested Kenneth Michael Wiggins, 18, and Christopher Shawn Wiggins, 18, of 305 E. 14th St. and charged both with first-degree burglary. The pair was held at the Pitt County Detention Center, each on a $50,000 bond.

Auto theft

East Carolina University Police officers investigated a report that someone stole a blue Pontiac automobile valued at $5,000 belonging to a 19-year-old student from the Reade Street parking lot on Wednesday. Also reported stolen were clothing, books and jewelry valued at $100.

Car stereo theft

Officers responded to a report that someone broke into the rear car window of a 29-yar-old man's 1991 Cadillac sedan while it was parked near Belk Hall on Thursday. A car stereo and speakers valued at $1,700 were reported stolen.

Woman assaulted

No injuries were reported when Pitt County Sheriff's deputies investigated a report that a 32-year-old woman was assaulted by her husband at her home on Hillendale Circle on Thursday.

Car theft

Deputies responded to a report that someone stole a black 1990 Nissan 300ZX valued at $2,000 from a 36-year-old man at a residence in the 4500 block of Dixon Road in Grimesland on Thursday. A generator valued at $300 and a refrigerator valued at $200 also were reported stolen.
