The following thefts were reported recently to the Greenville Police Department:

  • Eighty-six sheets of plywood were taken from a construction site in the 800 block of Golfview Drive. The theft occurred sometime between 12:30 p.m. July 22 and noon Monday.
  • A $1,500 Dell laptop computer was stolen from an apartment in the 2300 block of Vineyard Drive on Tuesday evening.
  • A 17-year-old man told police that someone stole three of his personal checks and cashed them at BB&T banks on Greenville Boulevard, Arlington Boulevard and Stantonsburg Road. The theft occurred sometime between 6 p.m. July 12 and 10 a.m. Sunday.
  • A 26-year-old-woman told police that someone pried open the rear door of an apartment in the 1300 block of Westpointe Drive and stole a laptop computer, a television, five pieces of furniture and an X-Box video game system. The theft occurred sometime between 5 p.m. July 22 and 10 a.m. Tuesday.

    Damage reported

    A 70-year-old-woman told police someone caused $600 in damage when they kicked in the back door to her home in the 2300 block of Big Ben Drive on Wednesday night.
