Greenville police officers recently investigated the following reports of larcenies:
An unknown person reportedly broke a bedroom window into a 46-year-old man's residence in the 1100 section of Turtle Creek on Friday and stole an HD television valued at $1,600, a computer valued at $500, a gold and diamond necklace valued at $500, video game equipment valued at $585 and a digital camera valued at $400.
Someone stole a motor scooter valued at $1,500 from the back patio of the residence of a 42-year-old man in the 500 block of Treybrook Drive on Monday.
Officers responded to a report that someone entered the rear window into a residence of a 53-year-old woman in the 1900 block of Norcott Circle on Sunday and stole a video game system valued at $350.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office investigated the following reports of larceny on Monday:
Deputies investigated a report that an acquaintance stole $4,000 from the home of an 81-year-old woman in the 2300 block of Pleasant Place Lane.
Deputies responded to a report that a 20-year-old woman had an automobile valued at $7,000 stolen from her home in the 2200 block of Briley Road. The vehicle was later recovered, according to a sheriff's office report.
Deputies investigated a report that a 52-year-old woman was threatened by her boyfriend who also stole a diamond ring valued at $300 from her home in the 1300 block of Ellison Court.
Deputies responded to a report that an acquaintance stole a revolver valued at $70 from a 54-year-old man at his home in the 1500 block of Tall Pines Lane.
