Officers investigated a report that a 22-year-old woman was punched and thrown to the ground at her East Fifth Street home by someone she knew. No injuries were reported in the incident in which a car windshield was damaged, officers reported.

Assault reported
Officers responded to a report that a 19-year-old woman was punched by someone she did not know while on a roadway at Landmark Street and Greenville Boulevard. No injuries were reported.
School break-in, larceny
Officers investigated a report that someone broke out a window at J.H. Rose High School, 600 W. Arlington Blvd., Thursday, then stole a flack jacket made of bullet-resistant Kevlar valued at $1,400.
Officers recovered the jacket and arrested Adrian Shaheem Acklin, 22, of 2924 West Hills Drive. Acklin was charged with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. He was held at the Pitt County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
Auto theft
Officers investigated a report that someone stole a gray and black 2007 Yamaha motorcycle valued at $11,300 from a 26-year-old man at his apartment parking lot in the 1600 block of Wimbledon Drive on Wednesday.

Materials theft
Pitt County Sheriff's deputies investigated a report that someone stole plastic culvert pipes valued at $4,500 from a 54-year-old man in the 3800 block of U.S. 258 in Fountain on Wednesday.
The Sheriff's Office reported two auto thefts on Wednesday:
Deputies responded to a report that someone stole a tan 1990 Buick sedan valued at $1,800 from a 63-year-old man at a residence in the 1100 block of Staton House Road on Wednesday. A set of tires and rims valued at $400 also was stolen.
Deputies also investigated a report that someone stole a blue 1990 Honda Accord valued at $1,000 belonging to a 36-year-old woman while it was parked in the 1800 block of Belvoir Highway.
