Police are looking for two men who robbed Rucker John's restaurant late Sunday night.

An employee was walking to his vehicle around 11:30 p.m. when he was approached by two men, according to a Greenville Police Department report. One of the robbers held a small black handgun and they forced the employee back into the restaurant. They demanded money and fled on foot, behind the restaurant, with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The restaurant, at 4001 S. Memorial Drive, was closed at the time so no customers were inside. The employee was not hurt.

Police are looking for two slim, black males, approximately 6-feet tall, who were last seen wearing black T-shirts and blue jeans. The case remains under investigation.

Also, Greenville police have identified two men in connection with the armed robbery of an ECU student at his Johnston Street apartment in April.

Amata Marshall, 28, is wanted for first-degree kidnapping and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He has a prior record and is considered armed and dangerous, police said. Marshall does not have a local address, but police say he has connections in New Jersey and Florida. Police say they are working in cooperation with agencies in those states.

Warrants for Greenville resident Melvin Earl Edwards, 26, were obtained May 16 and he has not yet been found. The duo pulled a gun on their victim, tied him up and stole two laptop computers, money and other personal items, according to reports. Police reports said he knew the two men.

Law enforcement asks anyone with information concerning either of these robberies to contact the police department at 329-4300 or CrimeStoppers at 758-7777.
