A former WITN-7 station manager accused of electronic harassment will appear in court later this month.
Michael D. Weeks, 54, of Washington, N.C., is charged with one misdemeanor count of cyberstalking, according to Beaufort County Courthouse records.
A criminal summons served by the Washington Police Department on April 7 alleges Weeks repeatedly harassed a woman by e-mail between Feb. 26 and March 12.
Weeks ran WITN-7 for more than 20 years before leaving the station in 2007, according to personnel records. He continues to serve on the Pitt Community College Foundation Board — a group overseeing fundraising projects.
The board's executive director, Susan Nobles, said she was aware of the charge but was unwilling to comment at this time.
Weeks is scheduled to appear in Beaufort County District Court on May 27.

To whom it may concern, I only posted once, I don't know why it listed my response more than once. I do know how to read and understand what 5 minutes means.

"There will be a delay of up to 5 minutes before your comment appears." What is so difficult about that sentence for people to understand? When you see the same post 3 or 4 times, their impatience lead to the problem!

To the poster of One Mans News, I wish to correct you. The Just Ask Mike segment is hosted by Mike RIDDLE not Mike WEEKS> Mike Riddle is the operations manager of WITN-TV and is still employed there.
The 20 years that Mike Weeks was at WITN, proved to be beneficial for the owners in the capacity of getting good numbers (ratings) and making a profit.

To the poster Michael - please read the sentence right below the "Post" button. Mr Weeks made himself somewhat of a celebrity on his WITN "Ask Mike" news show. Self promotion brings the good news concerning you, so when something not-so-good befalls you, that notareity also brings you to the forefront of the news. I wish him the best.
