Book News: Summer reading goes good with food

0 Comments | Leave a Comment

The summer season offers lots of opportunities for people to enjoy good food, good company and road trips. Three new books at Sheppard Memorial Library are filled with delicious recipes and descriptions of restaurants serving mouth-watering food.

In their latest cookbook, “The Deen Bros. Get Fired Up: Grilling, Tailgating, Picknicking, and More,” Jamie and Bobby Deen, along with their co-author Melissa Clark, share their favorite recipes for tailgating events, picnics and outdoor dining.

Some of the Deens' recipes included in the book are such dishes as Herb-Rubbed Pork Tenderloin, Peachy Chicken Legs, Steak House Burgers, Muffuletta Salad, and Grilled Tomatoes with Parmesan and Herbs.
