Art workshop

Pitt County Arts Council at Emerge, 404 S. Evans St., will sponsor a Kids Art Night Out for ages 4 and older, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Feb. 10. Participants will create Valentine’s Day themed art, have pizza and watch a movie. Cost is $30 for members and $45 for others, with a discount for siblings. Registration is limited. Evans St., will sponsor a workshop titled “I Am the Lorax, I Speak for the Trees” from 10 a.m.-noon Feb. 25 The workshop, for ages 4 and older, will highlight eco -friendly ways to create works of art including projects that can be done at home in the future. There will also be a reading of Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax.” Cost is $20 for members and $30 for others, with a discount for siblings. Registration is limited.
