  • Burning Bush United Holy Church, 280 Bailey Lane, Vanceboro, will hold an anniversary service for Pastor Molly Davis at 11 a.m. Sunday. Pastor Charles Sims and Queens Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Vanceboro will be guests. Dinner will be served. A banquet will be held at Rhema for Action Center on Main Street in Vanceboro today.
  • Carson Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1710 Pactolus Highway, will hold fall revival services at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday. Donnie Rabon will speak.

  • Greenville First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 204 Brinkley Road, will celebrate its 90th anniversary with services at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 23 and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24-30. Speakers include: the Rev. Janice Marshburn, the Rev. Larry Wright, Jimmy Whitfield, Luis Avila, the Rev. Kathy Sandlin and R.W. Carpenter.
  • Last Days Harvest Church of God in Christ, 3192 E. 10th St., will hold a women’s conference at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Friday. Speakers include: Harrizene Keys from Davenport Temple Church of God in Christ in Washington, N.C. and Sharion Freeman of Trueway Holiness Church of God in Christ in Windsor.
  • Manifested Glory Ministries, 2409 Jones St., Winterville, will hold a worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday at Cox Chapel Full Gospel Church.
  • Mills Chapel Free Will Baptist Church will hold a women’s day service at 3 p.m. Sunday. Doreatha Bernard will speak.
  • Mount Zion Holy Church, 3325 Ayden Golf Club Road, Winterville, will hold a joynight service at 7:30 p.m. today. A pre-anniversary service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday. Pastor William Pearsall and Strict and Straight Church of Deliverance will be guests. A yard and dinner sale will be held at 7 a.m. Oct. 22. Plates are $6 for chicken, $7 for fish and $10 for a combination.
  • Noah’s Ark Father Son and Holy Ghost Deliverance Church will hold a prophetic class with Wilbur Daniels of Weldon from 10 a.m.-noon today. All Bible classes are cancelled until Oct. 22. A youth day service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday. Hilda Teel will speak. Barbara Hardison will give the mini lesson. Trelaine Moore and Yvonne Reed will speak at a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
  • Piney Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church, 4903 U.S. 13 South, will hold revival services at 11 a.m. and  7 p.m. Oct. 23 and 7 p.m. Oct. 24-25. A kids fest will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 22. The event will include inflatables, games, a magician, hot dogs and prizes.
  • St. John Missionary Baptist Church Soul Saving Center, 2921 Briery Swamp Road, Stokes, will hold its annual men’s conference with services at 6 p.m. Friday-Oct. 22 and 11 a.m. Oct. 23. Henry Brown of Mount Calvary Free Will Baptist Church and Pastor Gregory Black will speak.
  • St. Luke Church will hold a worship service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Alice Pollard will speak.
  • St. Matthew TBFOC Church, 601 Norris St., will hold an anniversary service at 11 a.m. Sunday. Pastor E.R. Buffaloe of First Missionary Baptist Church in Soul City will speak.
  • St. Paul Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, 4406 East Ave., Ayden, will have a deacons’ and trustees’ anniversary service at 3 p.m. Sunday.

  • Waterside Free Will Baptist Church, 4631 Moye-Turnage Road, Farmville, will hold fall revival services at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Friday.
  • Zion Chapel Free Will Baptist church, 377 Planters St., Ayden, will hold Dorothy Corey’s initial sermon at 6 p.m. Oct. 22.


  • Christ’s Church, 745 Davenport Farm Road, Winterville, will host its annual Fall Fest from 12:30-6 p.m. Sunday. The event will feature activities, games, food, live music and information on church programs.
  • First Free Will Baptist Church, 2426 S. Charles Blvd., will hold its fall festival at 9 a.m. Oct. 22. Activities will include a country store, floral designs, baked goods, and youth activities. A soup and sandwich lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. and a ham supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. An auction will begin at 6 p.m.
  • The Greenville Christian Women’s Club will meet from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 25 at The Warehouse, 204 Main St., Winterville. Shirrell Thomas from My Sister’s Closet and Rachel and Chris Embler will speak. Kevin Justice will provide music. Cost is $12. Reservations are required by Thursday. Call 758-2214.
  • King’s Cross Roads Original Free Will Baptist Church, 2080 Seven Pines Road, will have its annual Harvest Sale from 3-6 p.m. today. The event includes a silent auction, live auction, barbecue dinner and crafts and baked goods sale. Proceeds will be donated to Harvest Connection Disaster Relief Ministry.
  • The Memorial Baptist Church 1510 S.E. Greenville Blvd. will have a fall festival from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. today. The event will include children’s games, a yard sale, silent auction, health screening and barbecue lunch (11 a.m.-2 p.m., tickets $7).
  • New Destiny Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2600 E. Fire Tower Road, will hold a fundraising cornhole tournament at 11 a.m. today. Registration will be held until 10 a.m. Entry is $25 per person.   • Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church junior choir will present “Colors of God’s Creation” at 5 p.m. today. The church is at 355 Riverside Road, Grifton.
  • Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 6236 County Home Road, Winterville, will hold its fall bazaar at 9 a.m. Oct. 22. The bazaar will be held from 9 a.m.-noon; at 4 p.m. barbecue plates will be sold for $8; outside games for children and bingo for adults will begin at 5:30 p.m.; and an auction begins at 6 p.m.
  • Unity Free Will Baptist Church, 2725 East 14th St., will host a ”Surviving the Holidays” seminar from  6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 26. The session is designed to help people who are grieving the loss of a loved one to be able to cope with the upcoming holiday season. Participants should pre-register by calling 756-6485 by Oct 22. A $5 registration fee is charged to cover costs of a workbook.
