• House of Judah Church of God Ministries in Farmville will host the Down East Christian Organization meeting at 11 a.m. Sunday. The Flamboyant Women’s group meets at 7 p.m Friday.
• Mount Zion Holy Church, 3325 Ayden Golf Club Road, will hold a joy night service today. A holy union will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Jan. 28 and 11 a.m. Jan. 29. Dinner will be served.
• New Deliverance Free Will Baptist Church will hold quarterly meeting services at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday. C.D. May of Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Hassell will speak. The Hassell Singers will perform.

• Crystal Ellis, daughter of the Rev. Gregory Ellis, will give her initial sermon at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Church of Christ in Ayden.

• Open Heart Church of God, 4074 Jolly Road, Ayden, will hold a gospel concert at 6 p.m. Jan. 29 featuring Curtis Hyler and Jubilation. Free but love offerings will be accepted.
• The choir of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 401 E. Fourth St., will lead a choral evensong service at 5 p.m. Sunday, including works by English composers Thomas Tallis and Charles H.H. Parry. The choir will sing “O Nata Lux” by Tallis and “I Was Glad” by Parry, the “Magnificat” and “Nunc Dimittis” by Herbert Sumsion and the preces and responses by William Smith.
