Chris and Mayra Shireman, the culinary-school trained couple behind Café Duo, have opened a new Greenville restaurant at 505 Red Banks Road, the space formerly occupied by Chefs 505.

The Shiremans, both of whom attended Johnson & Wales University in Miami, relocated to Greenville six years ago and opened Café Duo in Winterville in April 2010. They outgrew the intimate, 36-seat restaurant within a year and decided to expand to two locations. They opened Café Duo in Chocowinity in August 2011 while renovations were underway at the Greenville space.

“We are very excited to be back open in the Greenville area,” Mayra Shireman said.
