Fifteen young ladies with ties to the area will make their debuts this weekend during the 84th annual North Carolina Debutante Ball.

The formal presentation of young ladies from across the state is sponsored by The Terpsichorean Club of Raleigh. The festivities will take place Thursday through Saturday in Raleigh.

Young ladies are extended invitations in recognition of the contributions their families have made to the economic, cultural, social and civic life of North Carolina. They are selected by more than 200 nominators throughout the state, with final approval made by club members.
