  • Burning Bush United Holy Church, 280 Bailey Lane, Vanceboro, will have youth day, at 11 a.m. Sunday. A pew rally will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday with Big James Barrett & The Golden Jubilee. The church will have a baptism at Progressive Free Will Baptist Church, 1503 Hooker Road, at 10 a.m. today.
  • The Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, at First Presbyterian Church, 1400 S. Elm St. Participants are asked to bring a seasonal treat to share at the fellowship reception that will be held following the 12th annual service. A canned food drive also will be conducted with donations distributed locally. Child care will be provided.
  • Falkland Church of God, 5923 S. Main St., Falkland, will have revival at 7:30 p.m. today and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Michael Ball of La Grange will be guest evangelist.
  • Friendship Holiness Church, 5843 N.C. 43, Falkland, will have revival at 7:30 p.m. Monday-Wednesday. Elder Dennis Wooten will be the speaker.
  • Live Oak United American Free Will Baptist Church, 1577 Rock Road, Grifton, will celebrate the fifth anniversary of pastor Elder Demetrius Williams at 11 a.m. Sunday. Pastor James Powell and Best Chapel United American Free Will Baptist Church, Snow Hill will be the guests. Dinner will follow.
  • Next Generation Church, 401 N. Railroad St., Winterville, will have Thanksgiving services Monday-Wednesday. Pastor Charles Prayer and Elijah’s Mantel will be guests. The church will have pastor’s anniversary services beginning at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4-8. Guests include Pastor Richard Mercer, Pastor Berry Barryhill and Pastor Mary Worsley.
  • Zion Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 377 Planters St., will host the initial sermon of Jeffrey Leonta Wilson at 4 p.m. Sunday.

  • Armor of God Christian Church will give away clothes from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. today at 2648 Mill St., Winterville.
  • Cathedral of Fresh Fire Ministries, 1400 W. Fifth St., will accept coat and blanket donations from noon-2 p.m. today for a give-away event that will be held from noon-3 p.m. Nov. 30.
  • Christian Fellowship Ministries, 2652 Stokes Road, will host a basic Bible study from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays. The series will begin with “Renewing the Mind,” based on Romans 12. Call 754-9911.
  • Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church, 510 S. Washington St., will hold its seventh annual First Responders Thanksgiving Appreciation Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Farmville’s collection site hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today, noon-2 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday.   • Haddocks United American Free Will Baptist Church will sponsor a “Parade of Hats” fundraiser at 11 a.m. Sunday. Those attending are invited to wear hats.
  • Spirit & Truth Worship Center, 1002 Evans St., will have a churchwide yard sale and bake sale from 6-11 a.m. today.

  • Good Hope Free Will Baptist Church, 2506 N. Mill St., Winterville, will host a free gospel concert at 4 p.m. today featuring the East Carolina University Gospel Choir.
  • Mount Carmel Christian Church, 980 Brompton Lane, will host the third annual Thanksgiving charity concert at 4 p.m. today. Guests include The Hypest MC around Elder James Michal Tucker of Living Waters, Groundbreaker Ministries and EnterAction with Pastor Sherri Ezzell, Zamar Order with R. Leonard Warren, NewEra Creations, Anointed Motions with Tyeisha Hardy Suggs, Cathedral of Fresh Fire youth group and Justin Lamar Barnes. Donations of canned goods and non-perishable items will be accepted.
  • York Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, 201 Tyson St., will host a Christmas Gala, “Joy to the World,” at 7 p.m. Dec. 6. The Rev. Sylvia Teele will speak. Music will be by the jazz band, Cruz, with solos by Brandy Hester and Cheryl Diane White. The event includes a semi-formal dinner. Tickets are $10.
