It’s February and love is in the air. With Valentine’s Day approaching, the Magnolia Arts Center will open its 2012 season with “Love Letters,” a two-actor play by A.R. Gurney.

“Love Letters” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. today-Saturday and Feb. 10-11 at the Music Academy of Eastern Carolina, 1400 Red Banks Road.

A special presentation will be held at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 14 for Valentine’s Day. The dinner-theater performance will be held at the Greenville Country Club, 216 Country Club Road, with roses and three-course meal including a seared scallop and endive salad, filet mignon and buttered jumbo prawns, mashed potatoes, baby carrots and patty pans. Chocolate souffle will be served for dessert. Tickets for this one-night event are $50.
