  • Ayden First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4049 N.E. College St., Ayden, will host guest speaker Jimmy Forehand and musical guest Rhema at 10:45 a.m. Sunday.
  • Black Jack Original Free Will Baptist Church, 2972 Black Jack-Simpson Road, will have revival at 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday. Mike Scott, pastor of Juniper Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Vanceboro, will be the guest speaker. The church will have a homecoming service at 10 a.m. Oct. 20.
  • Black Jack Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 2581 Black Jack-Grimesland Road, will have its annual homecoming services at 10 a.m. Sunday with a gospel concert by The Oak Grove Boys. Worship services will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a covered-dish lunch in the fellowship hall at 12:30 p.m.
  • Burning Bush United Holy Church, 280 Bailey Lane, Vanceboro, will celebrate Pastor Molly Davis’ fifth anniversary with services as 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Friday, and 3 p.m. Oct. 20.   • Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 4284 West Ave., Ayden, will have a deacons’ anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Charles Roberson and St. Paul Disciples of Christ Church will be guests.
  • Mount Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 230 Boyd St., Winterville will celebrate its 134th church anniversary on Sunday. There will be a skit and a presentation of the church history. Refreshments will be served.
  • Mount Zion Holy Church, 3325 Ayden Golf Club Road, Winterville, will have holy convocation at 7:30 p.m. today and 11 a.m. Sunday. Pastor Virgil Smith and First Born Holiness Church of Grimesland will be today’s guests. The church will have joy night service at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19.
  • New Hope Full Gospel Church of Ayden will celebrate Elder James Lindsay’s pastor’s anniversary at 4 p.m. Sunday. Elder Jimmy Stokes and Waterside Free Will Baptist Church of Farmville will be guests.

Events

  • Mount Calvary Free Will Baptist Church will host the Fabulous Fall Festival from 6:30-9 p.m. Friday at the Barnes Ebron Taft Center, 401 Greenfield Blvd.
  • New Beginnings Deliverance Center will have a benefit lunch and dinner sale beginning at 11 a.m. Oct. 19 at 2512 S. Memorial Drive. Fish or hot dog lunches and dinners will be available for $4-$10.
  • New Life Outreach Ministries, 249-J Third St., Ayden, will host a women’s gala at 3 p.m. Sunday. The event will feature music and several speakers.
  • St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 1701 Staton Mill Road, will have its annual fall bazaar beginning at 7 a.m. today. The event will include vendors, a Bible bingo game, and a “Top Chef” cook-off at noon. The church will celebrate the anniversary of Faithful Few male chorus at 5 p.m. Oct. 19.
  • St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 107 Louis St., will host its annual Lobster Fair from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. today. The fair will include local musicians, children’s activities, a bake sale and silent auction. Proceeds will be used for outreach ministries.
  • Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 6236 County Home Road, will host a Tuesday’s Children meeting at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Kip Gaskins from the Pitt County Sheriffs’ Department will speak on the senior volunteer calling program. Music will be by Samuel and Judy Jones. Lunch will be served.

  • St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 401 E. Fourth St., will have a choral evensong service at 5 p.m. Oct. 20. The choir will sing “My Song Will Be Alway of the Loving Kindness of the Lord” by Gerald Near, “Dark and Comely Evening Veils” by Carlton Young, the responses by Bernard Rose and the “Magnificat” and “Nunc Dimittis” by Phillip Moore.
  • White Oak Missionary Baptist Church, 4525 Mobley’s Bridge Road, Grimesland, will host Brothers-N-Christ of Tarboro in concert at 3 p.m. Sunday.
