After an extensive national tour, including a stop at music and film festival SXSW, indie-rock band Aloud is returning to Greenville this month.

They will play at 9 p.m. March 29 in Live Bar, 2120 Firetower Rd.

The band just completed the first leg of their tour to promote their latest album “Exile.” That leg ended with a homecoming show in Boston; the second leg began in February and is taking them throughout the country for another two months, and will include a show at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

After releasing “Exile,” Aloud's critically-acclaimed new album, Aloud kicked off their first coast-to-coast tour at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City last October. The band headed west through Chicago and Denver, up the coast to Portland and down through Los Angeles and San Diego before touring back east through the Southwest, Texas, and the deep South. In total, Aloud performed 51 shows in 28 states, an unusually extensive tour for any up-and-coming artist.

While on tour, Aloud has built up a plethora of local press in they cities they've visited. Amarillo Globe News wrote, “The band's passion for playing music is revealed on stage.”

Atlanta Music Guide praises their new album: “With ‘Exile,' Aloud have redefined themselves as a moody and melodic duo.”

Salt Lake City Weekly describes “Exile” as “…an album of expansive, orchestral pop,” and Southern Mississippi's Sun Herald adds, “‘Exile' is the most sophisticated, experimental album Aloud has recorded…. Lovers of layered, lovely old-style pop will enjoy this one.”

Aloud is fronted by singer/songwriters and co-founders Henry Beguiristain and Jen de la Osa. The couple has been writing songs and performing together since they were teenagers growing up in Miami, Florida. Joining them on tour will be drummer Mike Dawley and their long-time touring bassist and Little Rock native Charles Haywood Murphy IV.

More dates are added to the tour daily. To check them out, visit at www.allthingsAloud.com/performances.
