One country star made a stop in Raleigh on his “Goin' Coastal” tour and mixer was there to soak up some sun and have some good country fun.
Kenny Chesney performed in Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion on Aug. 5 with his tour companions Billy Currington and Uncle Kracker.
Uncle Kracker opened the show singing some old and new favorites. He got the crowd excited with the familiar tune “Follow Me” and his most recent hit “Smile.”
Uncle Kracker finished his opening performance and Billy Currington took the stage to get the country music vibes flowing.
He played several of his hit songs including “Good Directions” and “People are Crazy.” He, of course, included some “Ba ba da ba da ba” in his newest fan favorite “Love Done Gone” and got the crowd ready for the evening's big star.
Kenny Chesney, finally took the stage and opened with “Live a Little.” The crowd danced and sang along as the country star with a permanently attached cowboy hat belted out his country hits. He sang everything from his oldies but goodies like “Big Star” and “She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy” to some of his newest songs; “You and Tequila” and “Somewhere with You.”
During his set, Chesney brought Uncle Kracker out to sing their ever-popular song “When the Sun Goes Down.” After he finished his set and made his exit, he returned for an encore of the southern favorite “The Boys of Fall.” To finish off the exciting night, he signed autographs for anyone who could reach the stage and showed his appreciation to one lucky fan by signing and giving him his guitar.
