Pizza rolls are already best-sellers at Upper Deck Sports Bar & Grill (former Boli's on the Boulevard), 703 S.E. Greenville Blvd.

That's probably because of the lavash bread, says Lance Nunnery, general manager and part owner. Since opening, Nunnery has had to exponentially increase his orders of the special bread. Lavash dough is flexible, like a tortilla, but it crisps when cooked.

“We got it out the first week or two and we sold them like crazy,” Nunnery said.

Because of the rolls' popularity, Upper Deck now has added the Philly steak or Philly chicken rolls, which are made the same way as pizza rolls, but with different ingredients.

Pizza rolls

lavash bread, rolled out into a 12- by 19-inch square

Italian cheese (mozzarella and Parmesan)

pepperoni

olive oil

Monarch's Tuscan rub seasoning

pizza sauce (for dipping)

Lay out bread and top with desired amount of cheese and pepperoni. Fold over the bread, encasing the ingredients.

Lightly brush bread with oil and sprinkle with Tuscan seasoning.

Bake for approximately 8 minutes at 450 degrees. Cut into slices. Serve with pizza sauce.
