East Carolina spoiled Eric Maynor’s return to eastern North Carolina, but not before Maynor and his Virginia Commonwealth Rams put a serious scare into the Pirates. ECU’s men’s basketball team rebounded from its first loss of the season with a thrilling 93-90 overtime victory over VCU in Minges Coliseum Tuesday despite a game- and career-high 35 points from Maynor, who went to Fayetteville Westover High School.
