"When a Transformers movie can't even get the robot fighting right, it fails on the most basic level."

A smashing, thrashing bore

Austin American Statesman

"In trying to make them extra cool, extra funny, extra everything, (director Michael) Bay's made these magnificent contraptions what he probably never wanted: ordinary."

"I would rate this movie "C". Megan Fox is lovely to look at and has a definite screen presence. However, the movie is too long, and there are too many action scenes. I found it boring at times and wishing the movie would speed up just sitting thru the numerous action scenes. The supporting actors/actresses other than Megan and Shia do not get enough time to develop their characters. It would have been better if there were introductory scenes explaining the basic plot outline for those who missed the Transformers 1. "

"Megan Fox's performance is brilliant. Every once in a while that kid or a robot gets in the way, but this film about a hot young woman battling robots from outer space while risking herself by wearing only limited protective clothing is a sure fire winner for oscars in every category. The beginning of the movie set in a college campus full of gorgeous young co-eds was a brilliant way to set the pace for the remainder of the film. The director is a genious. No doubt the next sequel will be improved yet still by eliminating that Witwicky kid that keeps getting in the way of Megan Fox's outstanding performance."

"I THOUGHT THE MOVIE WAS LONG AND DRAWN OUT. IT WAS NOT AS GOOD AS I EXPECTED TO BE. LOTS OF ACTION THOUGH."

"My daughter talked me into going to see this movie. Though I was reluctant, the first transformers did have some cleverness to redeem its utterly dumb premise. The second Transformers had none. And what's with that girl? She wouldn't stop posing, no matter what the scene involved. The whole movie was ridiculous and a waste of money. Even the special effects were only interesting for about one minute."

"Yes it was long but there was so much action, you don't even think about time. I thought it was a really good movie and I don't see why everyone didn't like it so much. I guess if people are going in there expecting nothing, they will be happy."
