ECU to shut down over holidays

0 Comments | Leave a Comment

East Carolina University will shut down operations Saturday through Jan. 1 in an effort to reduce utility expenditures.

The university saved more than $75,000 through the closure last year.

During the 12-day period, facilities services will use an automatic control system to lower the temperature to about 60 degrees in most campus buildings. Some residence halls will be open during the break, and modifications will be made at the Brody School of Medicine to accommodate clinic schedules.
