LITTLEFIELD — Questions about service, district lines and possible changes in tax rates were asked during a Monday forum on proposed revisions to Pitt County’s rural fire districts.
About 40 people attended the meeting at Ayden-Grifton High School.
Pitt County government is proposing revisions to its fire tax districts, which officials in several districts say will make every property owner in unincorporated rural Pitt County responsible for funding fire protection.
