Baptist ministry making changes

After 73 years at East Carolina University, the Baptist Campus Ministry will begin making major changes, starting with tonight’s service to install new leaders.

John Ridley, the campus minister, is moving this the summer to be closer to family in Georgia. Sometime in 2014, the Baptist student building at 511 E. 10th St., no longer will house the ministry.


According to Brian Davis with the N.C. Baptist State Convention, campus ministry across North Carolina is “moving into a new ministry that involves (local) churches in more strategic ministries with our students.”
