Greenville and much of North Carolina are under warnings today as heat index values are expected to climb as high as 105 — or above.
The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory Monday effective through 7 p.m. today.
The high temperature is expected to be 99. Factoring in humidity, heat index values will be 105-110, the weather service predicts.
